We see so many people that are affected with depression and it often shows up in their personal relationships, work-life, school, parenting ability, or health goals. When depression takes a grip on your life, it is very hard to see where all the pieces to the puzzle should fit, and often we just give up.
When we start working with a client, we start to unpack the tools to fit the pieces of the puzzle together. The person starts to see the images a little clearer and eventually they understand where the pieces should be best suited to make the picture complete.
Signs that depression is affecting your day-to-day life:
- You feel a burning or upset stomach
- You only focus on the negative aspects of life and predict negativity in the future
- You have a racing heartbeat and faster breathing
- You can’t focus on the task before you or you are obsessive about minor details in the task
- You are not sleeping or eating on a proper schedule
- You have headaches, backaches, or other muscle pains
- You may feel too much emotion, bringing on tears or too little emotion triggering anger
- You have withdrawn from friends, family, or other support systems
It is important to realize that all these feelings and symptoms can be helped. You CAN live a life free from worry and feel more positive and at peace in the day-to-day choices you make.
